Writing Samples - TV Shorts and Comedy Sketch Packet Downloads
I love writing comedic sketches, cartoons, and stories. Most of my writing has developed through my studying at Groundlings, UCB, The Pack, and other comedy theaters around Los Angeles. I've been fortunate to have written for Warner Brothers and Enanimation, and have taught writing workshops around the country.
Buddha Bugs was the pilot episode for the New Looney Tunes "Wabbit" series from Warner Brothers. I co-wrote this with Jason Plapp and it was a delight putting Yosemite Sam through so many 'soul cleansing' ordeals, compliments of 'Buddha' Bugs Bunny. Still one of my favorites from the entire series.

Painter Paint Hare was the first short I came up with while developing new Bugs Bunny material for the New Looney Tunes series. It was a definite throwback to all the physical comedy that I missed from those old WB cartoons.

The Grim Rabbit (Originally: "Your Bunny or Your Life")
Originally produced to be a PG-13 theatrical short to play before THE LEGO MOVIE. Jason Plapp and I cowrote the script. It was later released as an ep for the "Wabbit" series and 'softened' for an 'under 7' audience. |

While developing Wabbit, I always encouraged our writers to develop scenarios we've never seen Bugs deal with before. Like losing his teeth, going against a Grim Reaper, or having a story take place underground. I thought with this new headspace and we were able to come up with fresh material. In "To Catch A Fairy" Bugs goes up against a rather greedy Tooth Fairy. |

Comedy Sketch Packet
I love sketch writing, and have taken workshops with writers from SNL, Key & Peele, and Kids in the Hall. I've studied sketch at many theaters including Groundlings, UCB, The Pack, and iO West. And I've taught sketch writing workshops around LA and at National Puppetry Festivals.
